There's plenty of pickings at the buffet

Car parks – barren wastes of metal and asphalt. Hot in summer, cold in winter, and devoid of nature apart from some struggling bushes and scraggly grass. Until I came across 2 Indian mynahs who had adapted to the car parks. I happened to glance along the narrow middle island between two rows of cars. There were the two birds, together, picking insects off a car’s front bumper. Connoisseurs at a buffet table, they eyed up the choices spread before them and picked out their preferences. This was a bumper among bumpers! They spared me only the shortest of glances, so I went back to my car another way and left them to their feast with a “bon appetite”.

mynahs are also great at warning of the presence of snakes; I saw this myself at my daughter's farm near Bremer Bay (West Aust) recently. Very helpful when you have small children on a farm!VHLXPAp

Birds arent fools,I hope they are aware when a car is going to move. They have been at it a long time I expect and know when to move.
