Tiger is my eastern blue tongue lizard,
almost a year old. He is extremely friendly and has never bitten me or anyone (on purpose). He can't talk or anything, he can only hiss. But he only hisses if he is angry, and he never is. So if I had forgotten to feed him, he would have to find out an extra clever way to tell me.
That's just what he has done! If I have forgotten to feed him, he will actually sit in his little food dish until I notice him and feed him. Then he happily eats his food and does not sit in his food dish until I forget to feed him again. He has also thought of a clever way to tell me that he would like me to get him out of his cage and play with him: His cage is set so it has something like a giant window at the front. When he wants a pat, he sticks his head out of the 'window' and sits there for ages. Sometimes it looks very cute!
Tiger is the second lizard we have had, before him we had a lizard named Buddy. He was a bit mean because every time I went to pick him up, he would hiss loudly and puff up. Sometimes he would even open his mouth at me!
So you can really tell that some lizards are just as talented as other animals, like dogs and cats.
