A few years ago I picked up my new puppy from her breeder. I was really excited, and after the breeder told me how to care for my puppy, we got in the car and headed home. We all got settled in the car, and my puppy was placed on my knee ready for the five hour trip ahead of us to get home.
My pup was very good for the trip and slept for basically the whole time.
About 3.5 hours into the trip she started whimpering. We all thought she was probably just a bit unsure about where she was.
But, her whimpering continued, and soon she became quite agitated. She was moving around a lot, so we stopped the car and let her out. immediately she quattted and went to the toilet. All along that's all she'd wanted. She had been letting us know that something was wrong. She was greatly praised, and we were amazed at her intelligance, especially her being only 8 weeks old at the time. She hadn't wanted to do it in the car, which also surprised us, it showed she was a very clean dog.
We continued the trip aftre this toilet trip, and she slept for the remainder fo the trip.
What a clever puppy!!!
