One morning, whilst I was on my way to the National Zoo and Aquarium in Canberra, I saw a dog wondering around on the side of the road.

She was a beautiful brown kelpie/border collie. I pulled over in my car to see if she was alright and as soon as I whistled, she ran over to me and climbed into the back seat. I took her home, fed her and gave her some water. She was extremely friendly and constantly jumped up and licked my face (too bad even though her breath smelled like fish...). I took her to the vet the next day and they managed to locate her real owners. So I had to say 'Good Bye' to my lovely, kind and trusting little friend even though I would have loved to keep her.
