A good deed

A good deed

Our family has two cats that never get along. They have a fourteen year age difference. Our eldest cat, Sooty, has arthritis, so she has trouble licking her fur clean on her back. Smudge, who is three, usually tries to attack Sooty in a playful way which usually ends up causing a war.

Today Smudge saw Sooty had some matting on her back. So she walked up to her and started licking the matted part for her. I never thought I would see Smudge lick Sooty in an attempt to help her. It was so sweet.

It just goes to show that animals can put aside their differences in order to do a good deed.
